Learn Pickleball

New to the game? You're in the right place.

Basic Rules

  • Games are typically played to 11, win by 2.
  • Only the serving team can score points.
  • Serve underhand, diagonally cross‑court.
  • Let the ball bounce once on each side before volleys (the "two‑bounce rule").

When Courts Are Busy

Once there are 4 or more paddles waiting in the rack, the following rules kick in so everyone gets a fair chance to play:

  • Short games: Play to 8 (win by 2) instead of the standard 11.
  • Three‑win rotation: After winning 3 games, rotate off so others can jump in.

Court Etiquette

  • Call the score loudly before each serve.
  • Be kind to new players and help them learn.
  • Rotate off courts to let others play when it's busy.
  • Respect nearby courts and keep language family‑friendly.
